Exhibition Background

Charging infrastructure, as a service for battery charging and swapping for electric vehicles, is not only an important infrastructure for the integration of transportation and energy, but also an important support and basic guarantee for promot ing the construction of charging and swapping facilities and implementing the national strategy for the development of new energy vehicles. 2024 is a crucial year for innovation and breakthroughs in the battery swapping and charging industry, marking a significant step towards high-quality development. China has established a charging infrastructure network that boasts the world's largest number of installations. As of October, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure in  China achieved 11.884 million units, an increase of 49.4 percent year-on-year. Among them, it includes 3.39 million public charging stations and 8.49 million private vehicle-mounted charging stations. In addition, the annual production and sales of new energy vehicles this year have reached tens of millions of units, which has created a huge driving force for the construction of charging infrastructure. As a major province for the production and consumption of new energy vehicles, Zhejiang has set higher requirements for the construction of charging infrastructure.According to relevant data, by the end of August 2024, the number of new energy vehicles in Zhejiang Province exceeded 2.6 million, and a total of more than 1.6 million charging piles were built (including more than 170,000 public piles), which shows that the second largest provincial charging service market and charging facility network in the country has been cultivated. Meanwhile, Hangzhou has built over 45,000 public charging facilities, ranking first in Zhejiang Province. With the support of policies of the promotion of new energy vehicles in rural areas and the development of charging infrastructure, Zhejiang Province is making a strategic move in the new energy industry. A series of initiatives have been undertaken in policy formu lation, network planning, and platform construction, aiming to enhance the brand of "Green Travel in Zhejiang, Charging Anytime".

To implement the national deployment requirements for large-scale equipment renewal and the promotion of new energy vehicles in rural areas, further improve the layout of charging infrastructure in Zhejiang Province's transportation sector, continuously enhance the service capacity of highways to support better travel experiences, foster cooperation and mutual benefits across the industrial chain's upstream and downstream sectors, and contribute to the realization of the "dual carbon" strategic goals.
